Hi, I am Felicia Grady! An Executive Chef, Business Owner, and Restaurant Consultant. Upon graduating from The Chef Academy in 2012, I started my catering company, Plate it Up! Catering.
After four years of being a Kitchen Manager for Indianapolis Public School #49, I became a Culinary Instructor at Second Helpings, which granted me the opportunity to become the Director of Food Service for Bridges of Hope Rehabilitation Facility, located in Anderson, Indiana.
Through this journey, I have become a member of several organizations: Indy Chambers, Better Business Bureau of Indiana, Black Business Matters, Junior Achievement, Center Leadership Development, and Girl Scouts Alum. In 2021, I was also awarded "Chef of the Year" by the American Culinary Federation Association and have been a ServSafe Proctor since 2017.
Last but surely not least, I love a good competition! Participated in the City Market Gumbo Competition, Second Helpings Soup Competition, Girl Scout Cookie Cook-Off Competition, and the Annual "S'Mores on the Circle" hosted by The Girl Scouts where I have been recognized as a Top Chef in Indiana.
